It is named because the petals are covered by 2 dark patches that resemble the eyes of a dragonfly. It is a kind of Dendrobium orchid in the genus Orchidaceae and has large flowers, about 10 cm, which are very beautiful. It is native to China and Laos and grows in the mountains at an altitude of about 70-2200 meters.
