Dendrobium stuposum Lindl. Stem usually erect, succulent, oblong-shaped, lower constricted into thin cylindrical, unbranched, with longitudinal stripes and several nodes.
Leaves papery, several, alternate near top of stem, often oblique, oblong.
Raceme from the stem of the year with leaf, long 8-15 cm, drooping, dense few to most flowers;
Flowers are thin, open during the day, closed at night, milky yellow;
Petals nearly obovate, 2.4cm long and 1.1cm wide, apex acute, base constricted by short claws, with 5 veins;
The color of the labellum is deep and orange, with 1 brown patch on each side near base, and subcircular.
Flowering period: June.
A dense forest at an elevation of 700-800 meters above sea level.
Southern yunnan, China, Sikkim, northeastern India, myanmar, Thailand, Laos are also distributed.
Morphological characteristics
Dendrobium stuposum Lindl. stem usually erect, fleshy, oblong-shaped, 24-38 cm long, thickened gradually from the base, about 1.5 cm at the thickest part of the upper, tapered to thin cylindrical, 3-4 mm thick, unbranched, with longitudinal stripes and several nodes, internodes 2-5 cm long, membranous sheath, dry tawny with luster.
Leaves papery, several, alternate near top of stem, often oblique, oblong, 18-21 cm long, 4.5 cm wide, apex acute or sometimes isoplastic 2, base slightly narrower, but not extending into sheath of encircling stem.

Bracts very small, narrowly ovate-lanceolate, ca. 5 mm long;
Pedicel and ovary about 2.5 cm long;

Sepals oblong, ca. 2.5 cm long, 9 mm wide, apex acute, with 5-6 veins, lateral sepals subequal to sepals.
Calyx capsule conical, wide and obtuse, ca. 5 mm long.

The lip is dark and orange in color, with 1 brown patch on each side of the proximal base, nearly round, about 2 cm long and wide. The entire lip is vacuum-shaped by encircling stamen column on both sides, with slightly concave apex, base with short claws, the upper half of the lip disk densely covered by short soft hairs and ciliary hairs on the edge.
Core column about 5 mm long;
A flattened hemispherical or conical, slightly concave at the top, smooth and somewhat irregular at the front edge.

Growth habit
